On Friday, the Minnesota Wild announced the signing of two new faces. Jonathon Blum, a defenseman, comes to the organization from the Nashville Predators. He was their first round pick in 2007. He will have a shot at making the team but if sent to Iowa, he will most certainly be a call up in the future. In 91 NHL games, he put up 22 points and 7 goals. He has signed a two way contract for one year.
The Wild also signed Jon Landry, another defenseman. He spent last year in the AHL with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers where he threw up 34 points in 72 games. He will most likely spend his time with the Wild’s AHL team, Iowa Wild. He did sign a two way contract as well so we could see him at some point.
