New Year, New Bruins?

As Steph posted last week, we’ve both been pretty MIA when it comes to A Cup A Bruin. But that’s a thing in the past. When it comes down to the Bruins, they will always be my team no matter how many wins they get. This seasons been hard to keep up with and maybe it’s in part to having trouble writing about a team that keeps losing.

But it’s my new years resolution to get back into something that I love and that’s blogging. So on that note here we go…

Happy Wednesday Night Rivalry! Tonight the Boston Bruins head to Pittsburgh to take on the Penguins in Game 41 of the season. Yes folks that means we’ve reached the halfway point in the B’s 2014-2015 and as I mentioned above it hasn’t been pretty. The Bruins sit 12 points below the Tampa Bay Lightning for first in the Atlantic Division. As of right now they are also out of playoff contention, one point behind Toronto in the Wild Card standings.  Reminder: this is a team that won the President’s Trophy last year. This season has been nothing short of disappointing and really the team as a whole is to blame.

Players that should be scoring game after game have gone unnoticed on the ice. Game after game there are call ups to Providence to try and find something that works. Yet here we are halfway through the season and the B’s are still trying to find their spark. With that being said every player and every coach are on high alert because when a team isn’t performing, changes have to be made.

Tonight the Bruins will look to avoid a fourth straight loss. The only thing in their way is the Penguins. This game is important because if the B’s can pull off a TWO POINT regulation win, it’ll show the team has some kind of life in them.

David Pastrnak will not return to the lineup for the B’s but will play tomorrow against New Jersey. With that being said, here is your projected Bruins lineup:
