Tonight the Sixers hosted the Indiana Pacers, and this game was over fast. There are no positives to take from this game, it was easily their worst showing of this young season. The Sixers committed a league high for a single game this year, 30 turnovers. The Sixers also assisted on only 14 shots tonight, as opposed to the Pacers having 28.
Despite the 27 point loss, there were a couple positives to take out of the whole showing. T.J. McConnell continued is impressive play, scoring career high 16 points and pulled down 6 rebounds, which was tied for the second most on the team tonight behind Hollis Thompson.
Nerlens Noel was non-existent tonight, only scoring two points and ripping down three rebounds on the night. Jerami Grant continued his consistent play recording 13 points on an efficient 4-6 shooting. Okafor’s stellar play took a hit tonight, breaking his two game double-double streak. Okafor recorded 14 points and brought down 6 rebounds, and recorded an absurd -30 plus minus.
This game was over by the third quarter, with Paul George leading the Pacers with 34 points in only 32 minutes of action.
The only winless team in the NBA, the Sixers are having to another horrendous start to begin the season like they did last year. Let’s hope that the first win comes soon before this thing gets ugly.
The Sixers (0-12), will travel to Charlotte Friday night, to take on the Charlotte Hornets.
