The Warriors hold on for one more game, but props to the Celtics for giving them a run for their money. Both of those teams are back in action tonight as well as many others. Let’s check out some fantasy options on the night.
Be sure to follow @hoopscalldaily on Twitter for lineups and updates. Also be sure to follow @DYST_Now for breaking news and more all around the sports world.
These options are for the games starting at 7:00pm.
Steph Curry. Don’t be shy with putting the chef in your lineups tonight. Yes, he’s coming off of a double OT road game, but he’s also Stephen Curry…. enough said. Milwaukee also played on the road last night so these two teams will both be a little tired. Regardless, Curry should have no problem putting up big numbers.
Patrick Beverley is still very cheap and a great option tonight against the Lakers. He puts up consistent numbers that aren’t overly impressive, but he’s a nice value for his price. James Harden on the other hand isn’t so cheap but is definitely one of the best options (if not the best) on the board tonight given his matchup. The Lakers defense is atrocious and they might be without Jordan Clarkson (not that he makes a huge difference).
Wesley Matthews remains at a good price for his potential. He’s found his spot in the Mavericks system and gets a ton of minutes. The Mavs take on the Wizards tonight and just a few games ago Matthews splashed 10 3’s on the Wizards weak defense. Though the odds are slim that Matthews does that again, I still like his chances to perform.
Nicolas Batum has had an increased role on offense since Al Jefferson went down. He’s also a very consistent option and has a great chance of going off tonight against the Celtics; who are not only coming off of a double OT thriller last night against the Warriors, but also rank in the top 5 worst in defense against opposing SF’s.
Corey Brewer is a nice option if Trevor Ariza sits tonight. Granted, I still like his chances given his matchup. He’s had a nice showing his past two games (28.9, 30.6 FDP) as well, proving he’ll be a nice pick if Ariza sits.
Pau Gasol. The Pelicans are not the best on defense against opposing big men. Gasol is a very consistent pick and though I like Draymond Green tonight too I think Gasol has a higher ceiling against NO.
Frank Kaminsky has benefited tremendously from the absence of Al Jefferson. I like Kaminsky a little more than Cody Zeller tonight because Kaminsky’s minutes are increasing and his ceiling is higher. Against a tired Boston defense, I really like Frank the Tank’s chances.
Festus Ezeli. Though Ezeli doesn’t get huge minutes, he remains one of my favorite fantasy players. He is consistent as can be and if given the minutes tonight, he should exceed value.
