The injury bug has officially bit the Washington Wizards. However, John Wallremains healthy and is the focal point of the Wizards game. Listed at a pricey $9900 Wall is certainly worth the price against the weak Sacramento Kings defense (6th worst in the league).
Patrick Beverley remains a steady, cheap option at the PG position. Bev is definitely not a player who will explode for 40- some points, however he will put up between 20-25 fanduel points. For only $4200 (especially with Ty Lawson sitting another game) he’s a value play you can’t beat.
Jimmy Butler. The Brooklyn Nets have allowed an average of 41.4 fanduel points to opposing SG’s this season. Of the leagues 30 teams, that ranks dead last which is why I think Butler is a great pick tonight. He’s had a night off to rest up after the quadruple OT thriller against the Pistons on Friday and the game the following night at Madison Square Garden against the Knicks. I fully expect to see a big night from Butler tonight back home in Chicago.
Allen Crabbe. Crabbe is the definition of a punt play tonight against the Hawks. Portland announced earlier that both Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum will be out tonight. This opens up a huge opportunity for Crabbe who has been playing well lately. He may draw the start tonight at SG and at $3800 he could put up a decent stat line.
Kevin Durant. The Durantula is one of my favorite plays tonight against the Clippers. The Clippers have a log jam at the SF position this season and have went with several different players to start the game. Regardless, none of those players can effectively guard Durant. He has been limited in time lately to a few blow out games but the Clippers should give OKC a good run. At $9800, he’s worth the payout because he will definitely climb back over $10k sooner than later.
Jared Dudley. With a handful of players out tonight for the Wizards, Dudley has the potential to put up another nice game. He’s coming off of a 39.8 fanduel point performance two nights ago against Charlotte. Though he most likely won’t do that again, I still like him against the Kings.
Paul Millsap & Al Horford. Though a blowout does worry me against the Blazers who are without their starting backcourt, I still like these two guys a lot tonight. The Blazers defense against opposing big men is awful and against centers it actually ranks dead last in the league. Look to both of these guys tonight to stuff their stat lines.
Cody Zeller. Zeller has temporarily been inserted into the starting lineup as the Hornets await the return of center Al Jefferson. The Houston Rockets have allowed an average of 52.0 fanduel points to opposing centers in the last 5 games. Zeller is cheap, and a nice value play tonight as the Hornets take on the Rockets tonight in Houston.
