2016 is here and so is another year of fantasy basketball. We had some early games begin already but lets take a look at some lineup options for the games starting at 7pm. 9 games are remaining.
OKC @ CHA 7pm
DET @ IND 7pm
ORL @ CLE 7:30pm
MIL @ MIN 8pm
HOU @ SA 8:30pm
NO @ DAL 8:30pm
MEM @ UTA 9pm
PHI @ LAC 10:30pm
DEN @ GS 10:30pm
Kemba Walker: If you’re not willing to pay up for Steph Curry (who might not even play) or Russell Westbrook, Kemba Walker is the way to go. He has been on fire the past 4 games averaging 26.7 points, 5 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 2.7 steals. He has an interesting matchup tonight, but with Westbrook’s price being so high, Walker should definitely be worth a look.
Ishmael Smith: I’m thinking a little outside box tonight with a few picks and Smith is one of them. Philly has had a small surge since bringing back Smith and he’s also provided fantasy players with a great cheap option at PG (at least for now). After laying an egg against the Lakers, Smith should bounce back as the majority of Philly’s game has rested in his hands since he returned via trade.
Giannis Antetokounmpo: “The Greek Freak” has had a short string of solid outings and I like his matchup tonight against the Timberwolves who rank in the middle of the pack when it comes to defending opposing SF’s (the position Giannis starts at).
JJ Redick is another player who has been impressing as of late. With a more than favorable matchup against the 76ers, he will continue to help pick up some offense in the absence of injured superstar Blake Griffin.
Kawhi Leonard: Leonard is my favorite pick on the night. He did some un-Christmas like things to the Rockets on December 25th and they (the Rockets) still rank among the worst in the league when it comes to defending opposing SF’s.
Jeff Green: Green is a great pick as Matt Barnes remains out. He plays some big minutes with Barnes sidelined and though he won’t have a huge night, he’s a great value at $5000.
Kevin Love: Love is another somewhat outside of the box pick. Though all signs point to him having a big night against the Magic, I feel like many people will be too scared to pick him due to his recent inconsistencies. I think he’s a great pick because one of the Magic’s biggest weaknesses is the PF position. Love should have plenty of opportunity to expose this and put up a great stat line.
Cody Zeller: Al Jefferson is out long term and Zeller will be the primary beneficiary of this. Coming off of two 30+ fanduel point performances, I like the value he provides.
DeAndre Jordan: Jordan is another favorite pick of mine tonight. Given his matchup and his recent production, he could easily have a 15 point, 20 rebound night. (If the game stays close that is)
Other Good Plays:
Shaun Livingston (if Steph Curry sits)
