MONSTERS CLIMB TO 2ND SEED

Wednesday night marked the 12th and final meeting between the Grand Rapid Griffins and the Lake Erie Monsters.  Cleveland tallied goals from Sedlak(2), Ramage, Chaput and Milano to top the Griffins 5-3.  This critical late season match pushed the Monsters ahead of the Griffins in points and places them in the 2nd seed in the Central Division.  The Monsters now hold a record of 41-22-6-5 with 93 points and Lukas Sedlak extended his goal streak to 6 games.

The Monsters come home to Cleveland to finish out the 2015-2016 regular season at home.  Lake Erie faces the Charlotte Checkers in two game back-to-back season finale Thursday and Friday.  The two teams have split wins this year with 3 each, however,  the Monsters earned 8 points with a shootout loss and an overtime loss.  With 1 win the Monsters will clinch home ice in the 2nd seed during the first round of the Calder Cup Playoffs.
