Injuries Lead Headlines Of Steelers First Week Of Training Camp

The Steelers would lose Senquez Golson to what could be a season ending injury  on Monday.  He was carted off the field and would not return.  James Harrison is also dealing with an Ankle.

The Pittsburgh Steelers came in short-handed anyways as they are going to be without Le’Veon Bell for the first four games.  Not to mention Martavis Bryant will be out for the entire season because of his drug related issues.

This Steelers team was coming into training camp with high hopes, even though they would be missing two good and talented pieces.  On the offense side of the ball, they have plenty of good talent to fill in with.   As for defense, the Steelers secondary was already in a state of instability.  Follow that with the loss of Golson and things just keep getting worse all the time.

Ryan Shazier is also working his way back after suffering a minor injury and Markus Wheaton is dealing with issues.   As far as Artie Burns, he was able to do some work on Saturday which  was a good sign.

Mike Tomlin Goes said there were no significant updates to the injuries as of Saturday.  Most of the guys are working their way back and most of what we are seeing is fairly normal for this time of year.

Tonight’s Hall of Fame game will kick off the first weekend game of Football since it ended back in February.  We will have at least one Football Game Played every weekend from this weekend Thru February.  Although the thermometer does not show that Fall is here, it certainly is starting to seem more and more like it every day.

The Steelers play their first Pre-Season game this week against Detroit at Heinz Field.   A 7pm Start and we will have a post talking about what to look for by Thursday.
