Ten days after making his season debut, Jamaal Charles wanted to tell the world that he’s back and ready.
Charles who carried the ball twice for seven yards in his debut is looking for more on Sunday against the Raiders…a lot more.
“I’m ready to let the training wheels off,” Charles said, per The Kansas City Star. “I don’t want them on. I know how to ride. Take them off and let me ride.”
Charles would go onto add “I’m here, I’m 100 percent, you could say 110 percent,” Charles said. “I’m on the field, I’m playing.”
Now Charles, who’s expected to be a full participant in practice this week according to head coach Andy Reid may not see the carries that he’s expecting on Sunday.
When asked if Charles would see a bigger role on Sunday, Reid had this to say; “Yeah, we’ll see. As long as there are no setbacks, he’ll probably do a little bit more.”
So if you were looking for an answer about Charles’ usage on Sunday you got one…well sort of.
However, his matchup is a great one. Despite the Raiders being 4-1, they’re very bad defensively, ranking 32nd in yards allowed per game and 24th in points allowed per game.
Kickoff is set for 4:05 pm eastern time on Sunday.
