Dallas Stars To Honor Five Officers Killed In Dallas Police Attacks

The Dallas Stars open the regular season tonight at home against the Anaheim Ducks, this being the first regular season and home game, the Dallas Stars organization will take this opportunity to honor the five police officers killed in the attack on Police in Downtown Dallas on July 7th, 2016, just mere minutes from where the Dallas Stars play this tragedy took place.

Dallas Police Department Senior Corporal Lorne Ahrens, Dallas Police Department Sergeant Michael Smith, Dallas Police Officers Michael Krol and Patrick Zamarripa, and DART Officer Brent Thompson all lost their lives that night. The families of the slain officers will take part in a ceremonial pre-game puck drop and each Stars players helmet will feature a sticker of a badge of one of the five officers killed that night.

Puck drops at 7:30 central tonight.
