Karl Anthony-Towns is the most talented center in the NBA. This may seem like a stretch in today’s NBA where more and more great centers seem to be emerging every year, but Towns’s talent level is up there with anybody I’ve seen in the last decade. He is the story even if his team lost by 3 because he is the reason it was even that close picking up 32 points and 14 rebounds on 11-19 shooting and 2-4 shooting from deep, and that doesn’t even tell the story of how much he was helping his teammates get open. Andrew Wiggins also had 25 points on 50% shooting.
In the win the Nuggets first unit backcourt really struggled shooting a combined 4-22 with 0-8 shooting from three, but Jusuf Nurkic helped bailout his team with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Danilo Gallinari led the team with 19 points and was the only starter to make a three shooting 4-7 from downtown.
