The Lakers made a great hire in Luke Walton. Early in his tenure the most evident example of that is the completely out of nowhere reemergence of Nick Young, an afterthought on last years team, Nick Young was great down the stretch in this game. Young scored 16 points, but was efficient on 6-11 shooting and it’s great to see him looking like a solid NBA player again. Deangelo Russell continues to look improved as well, 17 points in 23 minutes for the young point guard was vital in the win.
Demarcus Cousins had 28 points and nine rebounds and Rudy Gay had 15 points and eight rebounds. The Kings had their modest two-game win streak snapped. Sacramento had won the last seven meetings with the Lakers.
FINAL SCORE: Lakers-101 at Kings-91
