SCHLAGGER SLANT, Week 11 Fantasy Football

SCHLAGGER’s Slant Week 11
Every Thursday during the NFL fantasy season, I will give you an in depth look at the week ahead. This article will focus on a few targets and values on both Draftkings (DK) and Fanduel (FD). At the end of the article, I will list players that will be in my cash game lineups on DK. Quick disclaimer: Cash games are 50/50’s where the top half of the entries cash and head to heads against other users. GPP’s are big tournaments where about 20% of the entries cash and have huge payouts for 1st place.

Note: This will be for the Sunday Main Slate. Not including Thursday Night and Monday Night Football.

Andrew Luck (7200 on DK): I don’t love recommending Andrew Luck ever, he is miserable to watch because his offensive line is horrible. The matchup against the Titans at home is a prime matchup for Luck to get back on track. Titans rank in the bottom half of the league against the pass and Luck has all his weapons back. I like Luck if paying up for a QB this weekend.

Blake Bortles (5400 on DK): I’m not sure rostering Bortles makes you feel any better than Luck but what a great matchup for Bortles this weekend. The Lions are very suspect against the pass and there is a chance the Jags will get down again this week. We should see tons of Bottles garbage time which makes him a near lock for 300 yards and 2 TD’s. I can’t believe I’m saying this but Bortles will most likely be my cash QB this Sunday.

Running Backs:

Le’Veon Bell (8800 on DK): If you remember what I wrote up last week about David Johnson, just put it on repeat for Bell this week. This is an ideal perfect spot for Bell on Sunday. What makes Bell so unique is he’s basically a WR who plays RB now but he’s even better as a runner. He is a rare breed and he gets to face one of the worst defenses in the Browns. Bell comes in at the best value on the board and he’s priced at $8800. He is a lock in cash this weekend and don’t even think twice.

CJ Prosise (4200 on DK): Everyone has read all week how Thomas Rawls is ready to go in Seattle and everyone is assuming he just takes his role back with the Seahawks. I firmly believe that is untrue and Prosise is now the guy in Seattle. He’s unique in the way he runs and he is available out of the backfield as a target. If you watched the game on Sunday night against the Patriots, you noticed how involved he was in the offense. Even if Rawls comes back and plays 25% of the snaps, I still believe at $4200 he is a great value on the slate.

Wide Receivers:

Mike Evans (8100 on DK): Vincent Jackson has been officially placed on IR which wasn’t a surprise. Evans is a target machine with Jackson out of the lineup and the Bucs pass game basically is Evans and Cameron Brate. I spoke with my brother Nate this morning about the Bucs defense against the TE’s and it is one of the best in the league. He informed me that they haven’t given up more than 8 points to a TE all season since Jesse James in week 4. If the Chiefs eliminate Brate, then that means huge usage for Evans.

Cameron Meredith (4100 on DK): Let me be the first to say that the Bears and Jay Cutler are pathetic but Meredith is the #1 option with Jeffery suspended. The Bears are a seven point underdog so the second half is going to be Cutler throwing 30 times. Meredith is priced to where you can plug him in and maybe spend up for two receivers this weekend. I like Meredith for at least 8 targets on Sunday which should pay off his $4100 price tag.

Tight Ends:
Zach Miller (3800 on DK): I am forced to write up two TE’s so Miller comes in as the second option. He will be option 1b for Cutler on Sunday and again with them most likely being down in the second half, he should be in for 6-7 targets. He is a fine play but the guy below is the guy I want to roster in cash.

Martellus Bennett (3700 on DK): Bennett will be very popular this week since Rob Gronkowski is likely not playing on Sunday. Bennett was more of a blocker when Gronk was out for the first couple weeks because they didn’t have Brady at QB. With Brady back, Bennett’s role is pretty steady and he is a near lock in cash if Gronk is out on Sunday.

Chiefs (3400 on DK): The Bucs have the lowest implied team total at around 19 points on Sunday. The Chiefs will be facing a very turnover prone QB who will be losing in the second half. They are the best bet for a defensive touchdown this weekend.

Dolphins (2900 on DK): All I need to say here is Jared Goff. He couldn’t beat out Case Keenum all season so there is no way he is NFL ready. If you can’t get to the Chiefs at $3400 then the Dolphins should be good enough to pay off their salary.

Guys I’m most likely to have in Draftkings cash games: (No Order)

QB: Andrew Luck, Tom Brady, Blake Bortles,
RB: Le’veon Bell, LeGarrette Blount, CJ Prosise, Theo Riddick, Todd Gurley
WR: Mike Evans, Willie Snead, Stefon Diggs, Golden Tate, Cameron Meredith, Julian Edelman
TE: Martellus Bennett, Zach Miller
D: Chiefs, Dolphins, Titans
