SCHLAGGER’s Slant Week 15, Fantasy Football

Every week during the NFL fantasy season, I will give you an in depth look at the week ahead.  This article will focus on a few targets and values on both Draftkings (DK) and Fanduel (FD).  At the end of the article, I will list players that will be in my cash game lineups on DK.  Quick disclaimer: Cash games are 50/50’s where the top half of the entries cash and head to heads against other users.  GPP’s are big   tournaments where about 20% of the entries cash and have huge payouts for 1st place.

Note: This will be for the Sunday Main Slate.  Not including Thursday Night and Monday Night Football.

This will be the final week of the SCHLAGGER Slant for the 2016-2017 NFL season.  I appreciate all of the readers weekly.  I look forward to continuing the article next season.  I play NBA and MLB DFS as well so if anyone has any questions on those sports please feel free to send me an email.  Now, lets get to the Week 15 plays!

Quarterbacks:

Matt Ryan (7300 on DK): This is an ideal spot for Matt Ryan this week against the pathetic 49ers.  It seems the 49ers have completely given up and Chip Kelly may be in danger of losing his job after his first season.  The 49ers rank 27th against the pass but the Falcons are huge favorites this week which means blowout risk is in play.  The Falcons are a near lock to score 4 TD’s maybe 5 but how many does Ryan throw?  If you have the funds, I’m paying up for Ryan but this week has numerous cheap options.

Tyrod Taylor (5700 on DK): It is never fun to roster Tyrod Taylor but he faces the Browns at home in a perfect spot.  He is only $700 over the minimum price for a QB too.  This is a blow-up spot for the Bills offense.  Tyrod has running ability to help his overall fantasy projection as well.  As of now, Tyrod Taylor is my cash QB for week 15.

Running Backs:

Le’Veon Bell (9800 on DK): Here we go again, which stud RB do we roster Bell or David Johnson?  This week I am siding with Bell.  Currently, his volume is just too big to ignore.  Last week he had 42 touches which is absurd for an NFL running back.  The Bengals rank in the middle of the pack against the run and division games always mean more running plays.  I’m locking Bell in and moving on.

Kenneth Dixon (3800 on DK): Kenneth Dixon is slowly becoming the #1 running back in Baltimore.  Last week, he played on 60% of the snaps and his snap count has slowly increased every week.  I am projecting Dixon plays 65% of the snaps this week and he will always be targeted in the pass game.  At $3800, he is a great way to get some salary relief to pair with Le’Veon Bell.

Wide Receivers:

Odell Beckham Jr. (8000 on DK): This is an interesting game this weekend.  Most people believe this game could turn into a shootout but the Giants offense has not been good lately.  Eli has looked very suspect but I believe this is a prime spot for the Giants to break out of their offensive slump.  I love Beckham and I don’t believe Darius Slay can cover him.  If you can afford him, I think Beckham is a top spend but it is very hard if rostering Bell.

Rishard Matthews (4600 on DK): He is not sexy but he has been solid this season for the Titans.  He has had 4 touchdowns in the last 5 weeks and last week is a throw away game against the Broncos pass defense.  The Chiefs are ranked 31st against the WR position and at $4600 I love rostering Matthews this week.  He was the first WR I locked into my cash games.

Tight Ends:

Delanie Walker (3900 on DK): I like targeting the Chiefs pass defense again.  Tight end is never a position I love weekly on DK because the good ones are so expensive so you have to go cheap.  I may go cheaper than Walker and try to find a TE in the low $3000’s but I like targeting the Chiefs pass defense in week 15.

Ladarius Green (3700 on DK): Green is also playing more snaps every week since he has been back from his injury.  He is running a route on nearly every snap he plays according to Pro Football Focus.  The Steelers offense is always an offense you want to target but a division game worries more a little.  If you are going to roster Bell, I would move off of Green to either Walker or a cheaper TE.

Defense:

Bills (3700 on DK): The Browns stink and the Bills defense at home is in a prime bounce back spot after getting torched by the Steelers.  If paying up, here is your defense.

Packers (3200 on DK): The high in Chicago on Sunday is 0 degrees.  The over/under in Vegas has gone down 6 points to a total of 40.  The Bears have Matt Barkley playing QB.  Give me the Packers as a mid range defense this week.

Guys I’m most likely to have in Draftkings cash games: (No Order)

QB: Matt Ryan, Tyrod Taylor, Carson Palmer, Andrew Luck

RB: Le’Veon Bell, David Johnson, Ezekiel Elliott, Kenneth Farrow, Kenneth Dixon

WR: Odell Beckham, Demaryius Thomas, Tyrell Williams, Richard Matthews, Marquise Lee, Sammy Watkins,

TE: Delanie Walker, Cameron Brate, Ladarius Green,

D: Bills, Packers, Seahawks, Vikings, Cowboys
