Trilogy Co-Captain Al Harrington Named BIG3 Player of the Week In Tulsa

(NEW YORK, NY) July 12, 2017 — BIG3 announced today that Trilogy co-captain Al Harrington has been named Player of the Week following another physical and impressive performance in Tulsa to lead his team to the hottest start in the league.

“The competition in Tulsa was outstanding and several guys had terrific games, but the player of the week was Al Harrington with his dominance in the paint and league leading 3rd game winner,” said Roger Mason Jr., President & Commissioner of the BIG3.

When asked to name the most dominant player in the league during the Week 3 pregame press conference, Hall of Famer Gary Payton (coach of 3 Headed Monsters) and NBA Champion Stephen Jackson (co-captain of Killer 3s) were quick to call out and praise Al Harrington. The 16 year NBA star lived up to the hype and his skillset was on full display during Trilogy’s big matchup against Allen Iverson’s 3’s Company in Tulsa as he showcased a deadly combination of perimeter and low post play (Video Highlights).

Harrington, who is only three points behind the season leader Rashard Lewis in total points scored, continues to find his professional form and improve each week, increasing his 33% shooting from Week 1 to 55% in Week 2 and hitting an incredible 70% in Week 3. In Philadelphia, Harrington and Trilogy will take on captain Brian Scalabrine’s Ball Hogs and the long range shooting of Derrick Byars and Philly native Rasual Butler in the quest to remain undefeated atop the league standings.

Week 4 will feature a homecoming and battle of two Philadelphia 76ers legends Allen Iverson and Dr. J. The Wells Fargo Center will be electric as Dr. J’s Tri-State looks for their first win of the season while 3’s Company hopes to stay in contention as a loss will drop them into a tie for last place. The two teams will square off in Sunday’s final game to cap off another exciting and highly-competitive slate of BIG3 games.

Fans across the country and the world can catch all the action on Monday, July 17 at 8pm ET on Fox Sports 1.
