Arizona Cardinals Safety Tyvon Branch suffered a torn ACL in Week 10 against the Seattle Seahawks and is done for the season.
He suffered the injury while covering Jimmy Graham on his first touchdown Thursday night. This is a huge loss for the Cardinals, as Branch had been a great find the past two seasons. According to Pro Football Focus he’s their number fifth ranked safety out of 83 qualifiers. He plays quality run defense and he’s strong in coverage as he’s been called the best slot-cover-corner in the NFL. Second-round rookie Budda Baker will handle Branch’s spot moving forward.
