Greg Monroe to make season debut Thursday

Greg Monroe, who was recently acquired by the Phoenix Suns in their blockbuster deal that sent guard Eric Bledsoe to Milwaukee will make his season debut tonight.

After being rumored to be traded or cut after being acquired, the Suns have decided to stick with Monroe and at least try him out. The seven-year big man will be filling in for veteran center Tyson Chandler, who will miss the match up against Houston due to an illness.

Chandler, despite playing just under 26 minutes per game still leads all Suns players with 9.5 rebounds per game. It’ll be a change of place even though it’s only 13 games into the season as Chandler has started every single game at center for the Suns this year. Tip-off is set for 10:30 pm ET.
