3 Reasons Why Georgia Will Beat Alabama

The stage is set for Monday night as the College Football National Championship will be an all SEC battle between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Alabama Crimson Tide. These two teams practically mirror each other and are pretty evenly matched, but I’m here to tell you why Georgia will beat Alabama.

#1 Jake Fromm

Both defenses are gonna sale out to stop the run games so this is going to come down to who has the better quarterback and in my opinion, the edge goes to Georgia and Jake Fromm. Fromm is a true freshman but looked far more experienced against Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl. Fromm led UGA down the field with just over 3 minutes left to send the game into overtime, which would end up a 54-48 victory for the dawgs. Fromm throws the ball better than Alabama’s Jalen Hurts and I think he will be the difference in what is probably going to be a defensive war.

#2 Kirby Smart

If anyone can take down Nick Saban, it’s Kirby Smart. Smart coached with Saban for awhile and probably knows him better than anyone. Saban is 11-0 against his former assistant coaches, but has yet to face off against Kirby Smart. Smart should be very familiar with the Alabama playbook and should be ready for whatever Saban has up his sleeve. Georgia will win this game because Kirby Smart will out coach his mentor, Nick Saban.

#3 Destiny

I honestly just think that it is Georgia’s year. The ball has just bounced their way. They had multiple seniors come back just to win a championship. Georgia has two national championships (1942 and 1980). 1942 and 1980 are 38 years apart. 1980 and 2018 are 38 years apart……. coincidence? It is going to be a tough, grind it out, low scoring game that Georgia will squeak out at the very end of the game. I have Georgia defeating Alabama 20-17.
