After the Kansas City Chiefs signed Sammy Watkins to a three-year deal Tuesday morning, it was pretty clear that Albert Wilson would likely be on his way.
And according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday the Miami Dolphins are planning to sign ex-Chiefs receiver Albert Wilson to a three-year deal worth $24 million when the new league year opens on Wednesday, per sources informed of the deal.
Wilson totaled 1,544 yards in four seasons as a spot-starter in Kansas City. He’s coming off his most productive year, earning 554 yards on 42 receptions with three touchdowns in 2017.
With Jarvis Landry headed to Cleveland, Wilson will likely replace Landry in the slot. Wilson is a solid route runner, with speed to press deep and has good hands. He wont be a Jarvis Landry down there in Miami, but he’ll definitely help Adam Gase’s offense stretch the field.
