Well it appears the Dallas Cowboys are losing another free agency again. Hours after signing Sammy Watkins to a three-year-deal, the Kansas City Chiefs agreed to terms with former Cowboys linebacker, Anthony Hitchens. The Chiefs plan to sign the former Dallas Cowboys linebacker to a deal worth $9 million per season, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported Tuesday morning, according to sources informed of the move.
Hitchens, a former fourth-round pick, was never known for getting to the quarterback in Dallas as he had just 3.5 sacks during his four years in Dallas. But he was a transcending linebacker as he filled in for Sean Lee while Lee was hurt at middle linebacker position. Proving in Dallas that he could play both inside and outside, definitely proved his worth in this year’s free agency.
