Another New England Patriot is leaving town for a new deal. According to multiple reports, running back Dion Lewis is headed to the Tennessee Titans. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the deal will be a four-year deal that has a maximum value of $23 million and includes $11.5 million in guarantees.
Lewis will now join the Titans backfield with Derrick Henry and will provide the Titans with a nice change of pace running back. But that’s not all Lewis is. He’s not just a pass-down back, as he proved late last season when he carried the Patriots‘ offense on his back with two games of 20 plus carries. Lewis proved that he can bang in between the tackles as well as extend the field in the pass game proving that he’s a true dual-threat running back.
