The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms with corner back Malcolm Butler, formerly of the Patriots, on a five-year, $61 million contract.

First reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, this signing is a huge boost to the Titans secondary.

The deal includes $30 million guaranteed. Connected to ex-Patriots in both Houston and Detroit, Butler instead ends up with ex-Pats Mike Vrabel and Jon Robinson in Tennessee. It’s the second straight year Robinson has signed away a corner from his former employer.

Butler seemed to be Bill Belichick’s favorite following his Super Bowl 49 heroics and was an every-down player until his stunning Super Bowl 52 benching.
