The Cleveland Browns continue to shake up the offseason. After acquiring Tyrod Taylor, Jarvis Landry and Damarious Randall all in trades, according to multiple reports, the Browns are expected to sign Carlos Hyde as well.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, reports that the Browns are expected to sign Hyde to a three-year deal worth more than $15 million.
Hyde who played college football at Ohio State, now returns to Ohio to continue his pro career. Drafted in the second-round in 2014, Hyde is coming off a 16-start season that saw him run 240 times for 938 yards and eight touchdowns. He also caught a career-high 59 passes after catching 50 over his first three seasons in the league.
Though, this Hyde signing is interesting as fans and even some analysts were saying that the Browns had to go Saquon Barkley at number one with all of the offseason moves that they made. Now with the addition of Hyde, Barkley at number one doesn’t make much sense.
We have 2 months until draft time… but at the very least, the Carlos Hyde signing means the #Browns won’t have to reach for a RB. But if they think Saquon Barkley is the top overall player… https://t.co/IuEFyjX4aO
