The Michael Crabtree rumors of the Oakland Raiders cutting him are back. According to The Las Vegas Review-Journal the Raiders are expected to release Crabtree if they sign free agent Jordy Nelson.

Nelson, who was released by the Green Bay Packers yesterday, will meet with the Raiders Wednesday according to multiple reports.

If the Raiders did release Crabtree, it would result in more than $7 million in cash and cap savings.

It shouldn’t surprise you that Nelson’s first visit is with the Raiders as Nelson has history with Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie, a former Packers executive. Expect Amari Cooper to be the go-to wideout in 2018.
