ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Pouncey requested his release, and the Dolphins will acquiesce on Thursday. This is something of a surprising development as Pouncey made no indications of wanting to leave until the offseason. Pouncey has serious health concerns and is coming off a down season, but he’s still one of the best offensive lineman on the market. The move saves the Dolphins $7 million against the cap, but it opens up another big hole on the interior of their offensive line.
More changes coming in Miami: Dolphins center Mike Pouncey has requested his released and Miami is expected to grant it today, per source. Moving on from Pouncey, Ndamukong Suh, Jarvis Landry.
