Like other PED suspensions they all really come out of no where. Headed into his eighth season in the league, Ingram has never been suspended before or in any sort of trouble with the league. The Saints don’t have a bye until Week 6, so Ingram will be eligible to return in Week 5. Ingram has battled the injury bug at times during his career, but he appeared in all 16 games each of the past two seasons.
Ingram rushed for 1,124 yards on 230 attempts and 12 touchdowns last season. He was also a threat out of the backfield in the receiving game too as he caught 58 receptions for 416 yards.
Ingram’s absence will leave a huge opening for young runner Alvin Kamara to command an even bigger role. Being in a contract year, Ingram will really have to comeback strong when he returns in week 5.
