Are the Los Angeles Lakers done?

Magic Johnson promised Lakers fans that the Lakers were going to make a splash in the free agency this year and they did just that. Signing LeBron James to a four year deal was just the start.

Signing Lance Stephenson, Javale McGee, Rajon Rondo and re-signing Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. Maybe not the splash that fans wanted as DeMarcus Cousins, Paul George and Kawhi Leonard were all players that the fans wanted the Lakers to land. However, these additions are key for Los Angeles as they’re all key roll players that will thrive around James.

But the Los Angeles Lakers aren’t done yet.

Despite missing on Paul George who re-signed with OKC and missing on DeMarcus Cousins who took a pay-cut to play in Golden State, the Lakers still have some players on their radar.

With a Leonard deal still possible, but unlikely, Carmelo Anthony and Clint Capela are two options that remain possible on the table. With the Thunder pondering the thought of stretching Anthony’s contract, the Lakers are a team that the Thunder could work that out with. As for Capela, the Lakers are going to meet some cap issues there if they want to sign him so getting rid of or stretching Luol Deng’s contract is almost a must for the Lakers.
