Penn State laid an absolute drumming on Michigan last season. The kind man that James Franklin is, he left his starters in deep into the fourth quarter. You have to commend a guy for letting Saquon Barkley and Trace McSworley get those valuable reps late in a blowout.
They absolutely DOMINATED Penn State today. Michigan even tried to be nice by calling a conservative game in the second half when it was only 14-0. But Jim Harbaugh and, more importantly, Don Brown (Michigans defensive coordinator) didn’t forget. The Wolverines were vicious the entire game. Even when it was 42-0 and Penn State had a fourth and short, Michigan called a timeout to get the right personnel in. I love it. Chase Winovich put it perfectly.

More importantly, this was Michigans third win against their Big Ten rivals. This team has beaten Wisconsin, Michigan State and now Penn State. That’s been the biggest knock on this Harbaugh regime, not being able to beat those rivals. Harbaugh finally has the quarterback in Shea Patterson. Karan Higdon is destroying defenses running the ball. The defense is still very talented and doesn’t look like it’s letting up.
Michigan finishes the year with Rutgers, Indiana and then the big matchup with Ohio State who does not look like the Ohio State we saw earlier in the season. I’m not saying it will happen, but Michigan has a legit shot at making the College Football Playoff if they can keep this up.
HAIL. TO. THE. VICTORS.
