In what has been a train wreck of a week for Penn State, they’ve now had three different four-star recruits decommitthis past week. Four-star cornerback Josh Moten announced Thursday afternoon that he would be opening up his recruitment, fellow four-star Aaryn Parks and four-star Grant Toutant also decommited from Penn State earlier in the week with Grant Toutant announcing he would be flipping to Ohio State.

So why all of a sudden have three of Penn State’s best 2020 recruits just walked away from the program? Penn State Insiders feel that their head coach could be on his way out the door to move on to the NFL. With a departure of a head coach this late in the offseason and especially at such a high demand school like Penn State it will be interesting to see how they fill the void. I know we see decommits all the time from these big schools but the fact we are seeing this many in such a short period brings up a lot of questions.
Is James Franklin going to leave Penn State? If it doesn’thappen in the next week or two I don’t think it’s going to happen this offseason. Penn State fans are facing a lot of uncertainty now with a lot of questions being asked about who will be at the helm of the program moving forward. Penn State will open their season with Idaho with or without James Franklin, their coaches will need to head back out on the recruiting trails to try and strengthen their 2020 recruiting class, this is a very important few weeks coming up for the future of the Nittany Lions program.
