Ortiz: Fantasy Difference Makers That Are Still Out There

Oakland Raiders TE, Darren Waller:
Even if wide receiver Antonio Brown did stay and actually play in Oakland, Waller would still be set for a career season. 7 receptions on 70 yards in his first game against the Denver Broncos was just the beginning for Waller. Still available in almost 50 percent of leagues, Waller is a must add as I believe that he can finish the season as a top 5 tight end.

Tennessee Titans Defense:
They we’re a top 10 fantasy defense last year and they were plagued with injuries. Their offense was non-existent at times as well due to injuries and yet they still thrived and produced for fantasy owners. Drawing another injury plagued AFC South the Titans defense who is available in nearly 60 percent of leagues is another must add.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB, Ronald Jones:
A simple eye test and minimal football knowledge would tell you that Jones is clearly the best running back in the Bucs backfield. However, their coaching staff still turns to Peyton Barber and Dare Ogunbowale at times. But with Barber looking as more of a fill-in back and Ogunbowale as more of a receiving back, Jones is a clear cut add here as we approach week 2. Available in 50 plus percent of leagues, Jones is a guy that could eventually turn into an RB2 for your fantasy team.

Houston Texans RB, Carlos Hyde:
I drafted Hyde in a majority of my leagues because let’s face it, Duke Johnson just isn’t a true starting running back. And with the Houston Texans as a serious AFC contender, they’re going to need a running game. Did I mention that they now have an All-Pro left tackle in Laremy Tunsil as well? So yes, sign me up for Carlos Hyde who’s available in almost 60 percent of leagues.
